Leadership
Chairman of the National Art Museum of Sport Board of Governors, is IUPUI's Assistant Vice Chancellor -- Auxiliary Services. He has a distinguished record of community involvement, serving on the boards of educational and service organizations and on the committees of the sports events that have given Indianapolis is reputation as "The Amateur Sports Capital of the World." Among his current board or commission positions are Capital Improvement Board, Cathedral High School, Indianapolis Convention & Visitors' Association, and the International Student Leadership Institute headquartered at Notre Dame, his alma mater. Short also is a graduate of Indiana University Law School-Indianapolis.
Sherry R. Rouse Sherry R. Rouse, President of the Board of Governors, is Indiana University’s Curator of Campus Art, a first-in-the-nation position that combines overseeing all art on eight campuses (except for the IU Museum of Art at Bloomington) and responsibilities in the IU Office of Risk Management. She has over 20 years experience in arts administration and fund raising. Currently she is working on a Ph.D. in Higher Education/Philanthropy. Her bachelor’s degree is in education and master’s in arts administration, both from IU.
Ann M. Rein The Executive Director of the National Art Museum of Sport has supervised the Museum since it moved to University Place at IUPUI in 1994. A 35-year veteran of the public relations field, her involvement with museums goes back to her years on the staff of The Indianapolis News where she covered the museum beat. In addition to a degree in journalism from Butler University, she also studied art in St. Louis. Her special interest in sport art is in the stories it tells -- "Every picture, every piece of sculpture in the National Art Museum of Sport has a story behind it." Board of Trustees
